Capita still struggles as court interpreters don't accept all available jobs
Yesterday at Bristol Magistrates' Court:
Pakistani gentleman kept for court from night before, charged with raping his wife. He had an interpreter in Police Interview. No interpreter "accepted the case" for court; by 3.30 pm I have to use a Court USHER who speaks Punjabi and Urdu to help with case - all that can be done is for case to be adjourned to today due to lack of formal interpreter.
Case not due on until 2.00 pm today due to lack of interpreter...
