Another #ALS #CAPITA triumph. Interpreter booked for 9.30am, so they fax the Court 11pm the night before to say won't be here til 2. *snarl*
Charlotte Hole @CharlotteHole
@Geoffrey_M_B Court demanding written explanation. So sick of it. We all knew this would happen but everyone more interested in £££!
Geoffrey @Geoffrey_M_B
@CharlotteHole If 100s of mags courts summons @Capita_ti directors they may get a bit fed up. Don't forget wasted costs.
Charlotte Hole @CharlotteHole
@Geoffrey_M_B Fortunately it was a CC where resident HHJ maintains a list of incidents, makes formal complaints & regularly informs press

Former @Capita_ti exec says "Framework with Capita falling apart", tells colleague to look at http://www.linguistlounge.org If only he knew. Lol!

@gavwheeldon @Geoffrey_M_B @Capita_ti He used to comment too. Got nowhere. Pleased he's now advertising the site. http://www.linguistlounge.org

Anybody speak mandarin? Interpreter for cc cancelled this morning alt was arranged for 2pm, now cancelled. How do I explain that to client
stuart muldoon @sjm666
@WilberDaForce judge used slow loud voice and hand gestures to say "no interpreter". I used pen and paper as he could read simple phrases.

@HelenGrantMP More than 60 days have passed since the PAC report on #MoJ's FWA with #Capita was published. An official response now overdue?
Ian Gallagher @iangallagher82
No interpreter for two Romanian defendants. One of the barristers speaks Romanian so he's interpreting for them!

A Crown Court trial in Yorkshire has just been postponed due to lack of rare language interpreter. The language was Polish. #MOJFWA
sarah whitemore @wgsarahw
Interesting case involving the use of an interpreter. Simple issue of unfair dismissal but taking a long time to get through proceedins.

Pav_Scherbs @PavScherbs
Does Capita send an interpreter or does one turn up from the NRPSI? I hear that courts and police do not make that distinction in the notes

Case4theCrown @Case4theCrown

Kevin Blount @Kevin_Blount
1 interpreter at court. Still waiting for the other 2!
Court over. V frustrating that 3 people are now in custody because of a lack of interpreters #NotJustice
Nick Johnson @dreamglen
is that lawful?
Kevin Blount @Kevin_Blount
Pros apply to remand, I have no address and no way to take any instructions. It is very unfair and unjust but lawful
Nick Johnson @dreamglen
I cannot see how it's lawful. Where is the natural justice?
Kevin Blount @Kevin_Blount
I agree. It is appalling and the interpreter system is failing. All of them I speak to are unhappy and threatening to quit
