Court staff missing the 'old' interpreters
I went to Uxbridge MC today, was booked by UKBA yesterday. The court agreed to pay the old rates. The same situation happened earlier on this week. I was chatting to court staff, everybody moaning about ALS; nothing we don’t know already, ALS not providing interpreters, cases adjourned, awful interpreters...simply not delivering. Wasn’t I pleased to hear all that!
The court clerk signed my form and asked if I was one of the old interpreters. I have never been so happy to be called old! She said: "You can tell. Take it as a compliment".
