Tribunal service still booking direct
Just to let you know that Interpreter Booking Team in Loughborough booked me direct to go to Bradford for 2nd of March. It is nothing to do with ALS, I confirmed it with them and they said they would book me and pay me directly.
That means they are still functioning and hopefully it is for good.
ALS could never take over tribunal services, I have an example: on Monday 27th February I was in AIT Manchester, there was a Turkish Interpreter from ALS who had paid £85 for a train ticket from Leicester to Manchester. His case total took 1 hour, he finished at 11. He was very upset and regretted doing it because ALS had told him that they would pay £57 for his mileage plus 2 hours' travel time.
The Interpreters in the room started calculating the amount of money he could make out of his job, the result was £57+£20 travel time+£20 working time = £97
He already paid £85.
He earned £12 for the day, and I felt so sorry for him. He decided not to work for them ever again.
