NRPSI Vietnamese interpreters continue to say no to courts and ALS
Last Friday I received requests from 6 different courts, including one from Ipswich court featured in the news today, to interpret in Vietnamese and said no to all of them. Today, I had a call from a court in Hendon and it was another no.
Last week ALS called and offered me a trial for 3 days in Cardiff and got the same answer from me. The caller told me ALS is enjoying 'every minute' of the bad press they are getting and that they 'hold their heads high'.
This morning, another person from ALS called me to offer 'new and exciting opportunities with lots of court assignments in the next few weeks, special terms and rates and a promise of an increase in pay in the future'! He said they've got feedback from the courts so now are trying to recruit 'qualified' interpreters. I asked him to remove my name from their list.
